LOHRMANN's Power Equipment Division sold a 100 MW used steam turbine including generator to Bolivia.

Dismantled by LOHRMANN Montage Ltd., the giant units challenged the heavy duty transportation from the location at the power plant to the nearby river port. This sophisticated task was solved by our logistics specialists.

After several weeks of shipping to South America, the used steam turbines units arrived safely at the new location, where they will be re-erected during this year.




















This project, which made available approx 100 MW electricity within the short period of few months, proves the high value of giving used power plants a second life.
Manufacturing such a brand new large scale steam turbine would take almost three years. The fast availability combined with the cost effective purchase price belong to the advantages, as well as the sooner starting production of electricity.
